One of the things that I like about the Sabres is they have only hrooned, so far 6 players, Rene Robert, Rick Martin, and Gil Perrault were automatics when it came time for rafter consideration, the Sabres of the 70'3 were relevant because of them. Tim Horton, Pat Lafontaine, and Danny Gare are also rafter worthy. Fans are an emotional bunch. Hasek played the most of his career here, and unfortunately he will be remembered most for the way he left but rafter consideration should be considered solely for what the guy did on the ice, and even off the ice for the city of Buffalo, the Buffalo Sabres, and the game of hockey. For the same reason that O.J. Simpson remains on the Bills Wall of Fame should the number 39 hang in the rafters.

No doubt that a player views the NHL as the top lgauee in the world and to still have an opportunity to compete in this lgauee is sometimes worth more than the attraction elsewhere. Here is hoping that Frolov can regain his form and sign a three next year.
